The Testo 160 TH and Testo 160 E (WLAN) Wifi data logger for museums monitors environmental conditions in exhibition rooms, warehouses, archives, museums and libraries.
In addition, the datalogger has an integrated humidity and temperature sensor. It can also monitor light and UV radiation values by adding two external sensors that are connected.
This datalogger is equipped with:
- USB cable
- Wall bracket
- Batteries
- Calibration protocol
The 2 versions available, Testo 160 TH and Testo 160 E, have the following differences:
- Testo 160 TH: It has Temperature and Humidity sensors integrated in the device. No further sensors can be connected.
- Testo 160 E: It does not have temperature and humidity sensors integrated in the device. It has 2 plugs for connecting external probes, which can be of 3 different types:
- Temperature and humidity - Testo S-TH
- Light - Testo S-Lux
- Light and ultraviolet radiation (UV) - Testo S-LuxUV

The Testo 160 TH and Testo 160 E Wireless Data Logger transmits humidity and temperature data to the Testo Cloud via WLAN.
The Testo 160 datalogger is a datalogger widely used in museums, exhibition halls, art galleries and showcases. It could be one of the most standard dataloggers as it is easy to use and can be fitted with UV and light probes as well as additional humidity and temperature sensors. It also has internal humidity and temperature sensors, if you do not want to add additional sensors.
The device stores and transmits all measured values directly to the Testo cloud via WLAN. With an alarm function, you can be alerted directly by e-mail or optionally by SMS if the defined alarm limit values are exceeded.
The recorded data can be accessed via mobile phone, tablet or PC with internet access.
The display shows the current measurement data, alarm limit violations and battery status.
In case of exceeding the set limits, the device can send alerts by email or SMS. The display shows

One of the essential system requirements is Adobe Acrobat Reader (recorder configuration) on the computer.
Delivered with the device: Testo 160 wireless data logger, USB cable, wall bracket, batteries, calibration protocol and free access to the Testo Cloud (Basic mode).
Please note that the wireless data logger, a Testo Cloud licence and a Wi-Fi enabled network are required to use the Testo 160 wireless data logger. If you do not yet have a Wi-Fi network, you can set one up inexpensively using a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. To access the Testo Cloud you must first register at www.museum.saveris.net.
All measured values are stored in Germany in a data centre certified according to ISO/IEC 27001:2005 by the world-renowned provider Host Europe and are subject to strict German data protection regulations. Detailed information on data security in the TÜV-certified Trusted Cloud Service can be found in the Saveris Security dossier.
There are 2 purchase options available:
- Testo TH: with Temperature and Humidity sensors integrated in the device itself and no option to add further sensors.
- Testo 160 E: which offers 2 connections for temperature and humidity sensors, light probe or light and UV probe. This logger by itself does not have integrated temperature and humidity sensors, so if the sensors are not added it will not measure anything.
