Thermal protection covers are designed to protect and preserve pieces of cultural and historical value from fire hazards.
Fireguard uses advanced technology to protect works of art from extreme heat and adverse environmental conditions. This system was initially designed to be integrated into preservation plans such as the PSO (Plan de Salvaguardia de Obras) and the PSBC (Plan de Salvaguardia de Bienes Culturales).
The thermal protection covers are made of a mineral fabric with a metallic coating that is applied through an aluminisation process.
They comply with ISO 11612, thus providing excellent thermal resistance, as well as RoHS and REACH regulations, which certify a safer and more sustainable use.
Fireguard is recommended for thermal protection of artwork and large-format canvases, sculptures, display cabinets, furniture and heritage objects in museums, musical instruments, antique textiles and tapestries, documents or manuscripts, ceramic and glass pieces and religious objects.
