The Shockwatch RFID impact recorder is a device created to automatically indicate and leave evidence of impacts that goods may receive during transport.
It is virtually impossible for impact-damaged objects to escape into the supply chain thanks to the RFID ShockWatch tag. Simply place the ShockWatch RFID tag above the appropriate impact threshold. The status of each product or asset is then automatically entered into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software or warehouse management system each time an RFID reader scans it remotely. Since the indication is now automatically recorded in the system, it is no longer essential to actually view the indicator.
Managers can leverage their existing ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID infrastructure to deter, detect and diagnose damage throughout the supply chain by integrating standard RFID inventory management with impact damage monitoring.
Shockwatch RFID has 3 benefits:
- Automatically identifying products that need inspections for potential damage
- Assigns blame to those responsible for imperfections
- Automates reporting
