The rheometer or the paint viscosity tester is used to measure and determine the viscosity of liquids. This device establishes the viscosity and density of fluids, using a mechanical resistance acting in the opposite direction to the rotational movement of the screw.

The dimensions of the viscometer are as follows: 400 x 200 x 430 mm.

The rheometer or viscometer is a precision instrument, easy to handle, which identifies the variation of viscosity in liquids.

The vast majority of liquids are exposed to thermal loads. As a consequence, the viscosity and density of fluids can be affected. With the immersion temperature sensor, the temperature of a test object can be determined during the measurement between 0 … 100 °C.

The viscometer is equipped with adjustment feet so that it can be correctly balanced and also incorporates a bubble level to check its alignment.

The rheometer is connected to a computer via the RS-232 interface.

The delivery of the viscometer contains:

  • 1 Rheometer PCE-RVI 2
  • 1 Set of spindles L1...L4
  • 1 Carrying case
  • 1 Double-ended spanner
  • 1 mains adapter
  • 1 Instruction manual

The approximate weight of the paint viscosity tester is 4.8 kg.
