The construction of the Ford cup viscometer is DIN standardised. The rheometer is made of anodised aluminium.
In addition, the viscometer consists of a nozzle and an empty cylindrical body. The opening of the nozzle is also DIN-compliant.
For a correct measurement, it is necessary to keep the nozzle closed and fill the cup to the top with the contents that the user wishes to measure. Once filled, the glass plate is passed over the cup to remove the excess material. The excess material is then removed and the mouthpiece can be opened without any problems.
It is important to clean the cup between each use so that no residues remain, otherwise future measurements may be falsified.
The delivery of the Rheometer contains the following:
- 1 Ford Cup Rheometer PCE-125/2
- 1 Calibration certificate
- 1 Glass plate
- 1 Instructions for use
The weight of the viscosity meter is 320 grams.
