Protective awning for fixing loads in maritime containers

The protective awning Safety Sheet is an easy-to-place lashing system for marine containers. It is a raffia panel made with 4 hooks in the corners, which is used to prevent the merchandise from moving backwards and thus avoid any type of accident. It is also often used to prevent possible thefts when the merchandise is covered.

Safety Sheet is also a solution to possible situations such as the goods inside the sea containers sticking and putting pressure on the doors of the containers. In this frequent situation it is possible that when opening the doors of the containers the goods are damaged or could harm the operators. However, with the protective awning Safety Sheet these situations can be avoided, preventing the goods from sticking to the doors of the containers.

The instructions for use are as follows:

  1. The two upper carbine hooks have to be fixed in the upper lashing eyes of the container closest to the door. Take care that the words ‘SAFETY SHEET’ are readable.
  2. The ‘tie-raps’ around the belts near the carbine hooks are only used to position these hooks.
  3. After having fixed the two lower carbine hooks the belts can be tightened by the two buckles. Make an extra knot to secure the belts.
