The 8% RH humidity indicator, made of cobalt dichloride on paper, monitors the activity of the moisture absorbers and changes colour when it reaches 8% relative humidity. The humidity indicator indicates whether the product is dry or wet.

The humidity indicator is available in 2 types: with or without cobalt dichloride.

The humidity indicator changes colour to indicate when the relative humidity reaches 8%.

The 8% RH humidity indicator is reversible and regulates the function of the humidity absorbers and indicates the state of the humidity depending on the colour.

It can be used in many applications, such as optical instruments, pharmaceuticals, electronics, military products, aeronautics, export packaging and bulk materials.

  • With Cobalt Dichloride: The colour of the paper changes from blue (dry) to pink (wet) at 8% RH. Contains Cobalt Dichloride.
  • Without Cobalt Dichloride: Paper colour changes from purple (dry) to yellow (wet) at 8% RH. Contains Zinc Chloride.

The 8% RH humidity indicator is used for the control of desiccants, according to DIN 55473. The dimensions are 60x35 mm
