The digital penetrometer is equipped with openings that allow it to be mounted on a testing machine. Using the machine can help to minimise human error and allows serial measurements to be made. The testing machines are excellent for quality control and test trials in laboratories. 

The penetrometer is equipped with 3 struts, each of which can be used to measure different types of fruit.

In addition, the display of the penetrometer can be rotated through 180°.
